-everyone's First post will be just getting into the base....you werent here before! no! you came on the hsuttle, and yeah, there are npc people all around, but i am the only person that is starting off actually being here before the shuttle arrives, so once we got enof ppl we rp this epicness!-

"Orks. Chaos. Eldar. Tau. And they said it would be a challenging task......."

Lord Commissar Ivan Hebenev, leading his squad from the 22nd Death Korps of Krieg, walked out of their shuttle into the main Imperial base. There were Guardsmen milling around, Battle-Brothers in close-combat drills, Sergeants of both Imperial Guard and Space Marines bellowing orders, and the grumbling of tank engines on the field.

"Alright. So this is the misbegotten ball of polluted ice they call Hephaestos IV. And this is Eden. Damn, I expected better."

His squad shared a little chuckle. Hebenev was a humourous man at times, but he was utterly fearless and gave no quarter in battle.

"Still, not a lot we can do. Let's go and find the Veteran-Officer barracks, shall we? It's in the Space Marine section, I believe."

His squad were as hardbitten as they came, and all were wearing camo-cloaks and carapace armour:

Sergeant Nikita Malik - Uses bolt pistol and power sword, killed 3 Fire Warriors in a single battle.
Corporal Lars Lermuss - Uses a lasgun, a bit of a ladies man.
Corporal Yulia Renkova - Uses a meltagun and melta bombs, is in a 'relationship' with Guardsman Adranov.
Guardsman Igor Adranov - Uses a lasgun, is a crack shot.
Guardsman Dennis Morgan - Uses a lasgun, also has the squad vox-caster.
Guardsman Kris Marshall - Uses a meltagun, is an expert with melta bombs.
Guardsman Ilana Kalyushenkova - Uses a meltagun, is also a good sniper.
Guardsman Chris Palmer - Uses a shotgun, is very good with a knife and grenades.
Guardsman Heinrich Kreiss - Uses a shotgun, is the squad's unofficial comedian.

The squad was almost unchanged from that which fought on Morlock III against the Chaos Iron Warriors legion, and their meltaguns claimed tank after tank, and was instrumental in breaking the back of the armoured assaults, fighting as they did under cover of night.

After he got news of a new squad coming in, Aldo walks outside, in his suit of armor, and awaits in the shuttle bay. The area around EDEN is quiet...no bloodshed...yet.

Gord steps off the shuttle just as it lands in the battle-scarred EDEN. Emerging into the shuttle bay, the stench of death reached his nostrils. He grins with a sinister nature.

"Finally. I'm back home..."

He then spots Aldo and approaches him.

Aldo grins as he spots the rumored "armorless Assassin".

[b]"Well well, you have finally arrived, i hope your flight was pleasant...sorry about the atomosphere, it makes trips coming into this planet a little rough."

He switches the hand thats holding his helmet to his left hand, and walks towards Gordon and puts out his right hand to shake.

"Major Aldo Oswald IV of the Space marines."

He nods.

His smile fades at the mention of his name.

"..Oswald..."

He grabs the outwardly placed hand, giving it one powerful shake.

"Call me Gord."

His serious demeanor creates a spark of tension cutting through already blood thick air.

Aldo notices his seriousness, and swiftly turns.
"Alright then! let me show you around while we have time...you never know when another attack will come..."
He walks out of the shuttle bay, the shuttle takes off, and into the base.
"alright so welcome to base EDEN"
He says holding out his arms.
"that is the barracks, the mess hall, the clinic, the armory, and finally the towers."
He points at all the buildings as he says them.
"the main defendeding will be at the towers and the gate, but those sons of bitches do come from behind, and will attack nerar the mess hall. So keep on your guard...know ill introduce you to the officers here, the rest of the men here are just goons!"
He says as he chuckles a bit.

The humor falls upon deaf ears, as Gord follows the Major. He feels the gawking stares crawling on his back as he treks through the encampment.

They enter the mess hall, and right from the get go you can clearly tell who the officers are.
3 men sitting around each other, eating and talking. Aldo walk up to them as they all nod back.
"gentlemen, this is our newest member! Gord the "armorless assassin"!"
at the mention of gord's nickname, the 3 widen their eyes and get up and stand upright.

Ken walks up to gordon first.
"Kenneth Oswald! It is a honor to meet you sir!"
He nods.

The man in the back, leans on a giant hammer, and the other stands behind ken with his hands behind his head.

He looks at the officer.

"...Another Oswald..."

Again he shakes hands firmly. He exchanges glances with the rest of the men.

Aldo recognizes him saying that.
"hmm you seem to have somthign for Oswalds...you took that tone when i said my namne, now u take the same tione my son says his...is there a problem?"
The room goes quiet.

He glares the Major with a unnerving sense of calm. The smell of blood and metal against burning flesh fill his nostrils as memories of battle strike his mind.

"...I knew an Oswald...We fought along each other long ago...He was incredibly brave right till the bitter end."

"hmmm..."
He rubs his chin.
"...what regiment did you serve? maybe he was a reletive of mine."

The nervousness dies down in the room.

"The 46th Strikeforce Squadron."

Gord takes this chance to relax as the tension dies down.

"hmmm, not that i can remember, but ill look it up!"
He walks off.
"make yourself comfortable i have to go check on our comms."

He leaves the mess hall.

Doing so, Gord takes a seat on near the group of rowdy men. He eyeballs the son of Aldo.

"...How do you like serving under your father?"

Ken replies.
"How do i fine it? i love it! i have looked forward to it all my life! and now that it is a reality....i can't be any happier!"

He begins to start a new sentence but he is interuppted by a high pitch alarm.
everyone in the mess hall panics and gets up and heads to the armory.

Ken looks at Gordon.
"oh right your new! if you alreayd have your weapons on you head to the gate! It's an attack!"

After flipping the alarm switch, Aldo looks through his binoculars once again.
The green flood fills the plains, as orcs charge the base.

"Here we go again!"
He puts on his helmet, locks it in place, and holds his chainsword in one hand, and bolt pisotl in the other.

He nods at the young Oswald.

"...Lead the way."

Ken runs across the base, into a large building. Two floors of pure weaponry.
He runs over to the bolt guns and grabs one, then grabs a helmet, and grabs his power sword. He nods at Gord and runs towards the ate.
Once there he notices Aldo, whom is readying at the gate, some men around around him.

"So. This is the famous Ultramarines chapter of the Emperor's Space Marines. I thought they'd have more Terminators."

A nearby Tactical Squad approached the Veterans.

"State your purpose, or leave now."

"Damn you stubborn marines. We're Imperial Guard Veterans, this is our section as well."
Hebenev motioned towards Corporal Renkova, who calmed down.

"I see. Lord Commissar, I would advise you..... maintain discipline in your squad."

The Space Marine laughed mockingly. Hebenev and his squad aimed their guns at the bully of a sergeant.

"Ah, I see you're the famous tank hunters of Krieg. My mistake."

"I could shoot you from the top of your Comms Tower and still hit you through the eye."

"Carry on like that and you'll be the dead one, Igor. Come on, let's go."

Hebenev's squad entered the mess hall.

"There's the Force Commander. You lot keep yourselves occupied, and I'll go and speak to him."

Hebenev walked off.

"You gotta love our LC, don't you."

"Yeah...... I'd like these Marines best me with a shotgun."

"He's good with a shotgun, is our Chris."

Murmurs of agreement were exchanged throughout the veterans.

((UK were being attack by a bunch of orcs....airens are flarring! so yeah...))

Gord smiles as he spots his weapon of choice.

"Nice. This will do just fine..."

He picks up the machete and follows the young officer.

Aldo turns around as he sees his men froming behind him.
"Alright another orcs wave here people! FOR THE EMPEROR!!!"
each man says,
"FOR THE EMPEROR!"
and go into attack stance.
Aldo waits until the orcs come a little closer.

Gord chuckles as he falls behind the rest of the marines, softly speaking to himself.

"Yes...For the emperor..."

He awaits the onslaught.

The orcs gets in range, and Aldo waves his hand up, Cannons from behind the base fire, and bombard the orcs.
"Soldiers FIRE!"
Bolts fly past aldo, as they gun down the charging orcs. They return fire.
"COMMANDOS! CHARGE!"
He thros down his hand and starts to run towards the orcs.
