Elder Scrolls: Nightfall
It was the beginning of the Fourth Era of Tamriel's history. The Septim line died when the last Emperor, Martin Septim, sacrificed himself to bring forth Akatosh to defeat the Daedra lord Mehrunes-Dagon.
For the first time since Alessia, the Empire was without a ruler, without someone to wear the Amulet of Kings. And without the Dragonfires.
Ocato tried to hold the Elder Council together, but without an Emperor, he could only delay the inevitable. The Empire was falling into civil war.
It was during this time that the Blades, the former protectors of the Septim emperors, noticed a new threat brewing across the realm. After reading through some of the historical archives, a knight named Scipio discovered that whenever something bad happens, there always tended to be some prisoner in the Imperial City's prison that would save the day. Thus, he issued a decree that all political prisoners under the Septim line were to be pardoned, as the Septim line was ended.
"You mean to say you're just letting us go?" asked a Breton of his jailor.
"Politics," shrugged the jailor. "If I had my way, you'd all just rot, but Scipio's orders. Here are your release papers."
"Uh... thanks," said Bob. Never turn down a free pardon, was his policy.

Mathias looked in awe, and agreed with his friend.
"lets go get our things bob..."
"lets go get our things bob..."
Re: Elder Scrolls: Nightfall
"You don't have to tell me twice," said the breton as he went to retrieve his gear.
Digging under the steel plated armor in the equipment chest, he retrieved his family heirloom amulet. "Yes... this is still intact." He put the amulet on before covering himself from head to toe in steel armor, slinging his sword at his side.
Glancing at Mathias, Bob said, "Alright, let's go. I'm guessing this Scipio would like to see us."

He put on his gear (like the pic),
"well i dont know about this, he let us go for no reason...should we even go see him?"

Re: Elder Scrolls: Nightfall
"There's always a reason," said Bob. "That's how you Imperials operate, isn't it? Everything is political, even the Legion has their own objectives. Besides, we should at least say thanks... it's not like he's just going to arrest us again for showing appreciation."
He shrugged. "And even if they tried, they won't be catching us in our sleep like they did last time."

"Uh... I guess," shrugged the Breton, "Think he's the one in charge of the Legion here. Since the Elder Council disbanded that tower's been the Legion base, right?"
He headed towards White Gold Tower.

Re: Elder Scrolls: Nightfall
"You know," commented Bob, "It's quite amusing when the Breton knows his way around the Imperial City better than the Imperial does."
He shrugged. "Ah well, I was considering becoming a gladiator at some point. Anyway, here's the tower..."
Remembering that he was technically the "squire", the Breton said, "You're the boss..."

He said following his friend.

Re: Elder Scrolls: Nightfall
"Some knight you are..." muttered the squire as he approached the tower.
Seeing the two guards at the entrance, he stated, "Greetings. We're here to see General Scipio. He... just released us from prison and we're here to show our gratitude."
The guard sniffed. "The general does not normally take visitors. But... we are instructed to let you show your gratitude. Come this way, and don't touch anything."
Shrugging, Bob followed the haughty Imperial into the tower.

Re: Elder Scrolls: Nightfall
Mathias watched the interior of the hallway as he walked through it. He hasn't been in this city much and has never been in this behemoth.
He was amazed as he followed his squire.
